Calis Beach

Calis Beach is a small beach resort with stunning views and spectacular sunsets across the Bay to Sovalye Island and Fethiye.

Along the seafront there is a pedestrianised boulevard where there are many bars and restaurants.

The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed here, making it ideal for sun-worshippers and family holidays

Hisaronu

main street Hisaronu during the festival

The charming hill town of Hisaronu, a short distance inland from Turkey's Mediterranean coast, has boomed into a popular holiday resort bristling with hotels, bars, restaurants, shops and night clubs, ideally situated for those intent on exploring the region and enjoying an active holiday. Hisaronu is centrally located on the 'Turquoise Coast', within a short 'dolmus' (local taxi) ride from the busy centre of Fethiye, the beautiful seaside resort of Oludeniz with its blue lagoon and crescent beach, and numerous sites of interest. The town of Hisaronu itself is alive with buildings, but the surrounding area offers a ruggedly beautiful landscape, ideal for holidaymakers keen on walking, and a coast filled with secluded bays and coves accessed through winding forest paths. Being set at high altitude the town also has the advantage of being cooler than the coast, a pleasant refuge to retreat to after a day in the summer sun.

Ovacik

Ovacik lies close by in the hills behind Olu Deniz, surrounded by pine forests and beautiful countryside. This resort has grown from the popularity of Olu Deniz when the conservation area made it impossible to build more hotels and apartments by the sea, the hillside villages within easy reach of the beach started to grow. Ovacik resort is now incredibly popular with British guests with many holidaymakers deciding to settle in the area and there is a wide selection of restaurants, bars and pubs to cater for their tastes. Ovacik is altogether quieter and more rural with splendid views of the surrounding pine clad mountains. The air here is usually cooler and fresher than at sea level, which can be very welcome at the height of the summer.
